About Yoyo Vereniging Nederland
(Yo-Yo Association the Netherlands)

Yoyo Vereniging Nederland is the national organisation for yo-yo players and enthusiasts across the Netherlands and the Benelux. We support players at every level, from beginners to competitors, and we promote the yo-yo as a sport, hobby and creative discipline. Our aim is to build a welcoming community, share knowledge and represent Dutch yo-yo interests at home and abroad.

Our mission

To promote, develop and sustain the yo-yo community in the Netherlands. We do this by organising events, offering training and workshops, supporting youth participation and maintaining links with international yo-yo bodies. We believe in fair play, inclusivity and transparent governance.

What we do

We run a range of activities designed to grow skills and strengthen community ties.

Competitions and championships: regional meets and the Benelux Yo-Yo Championship.
Workshops and coaching: beginner sessions, advanced technique clinics and youth programmes.
Inclusivity & broad impact: open to all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, providing an accessible space where everyone—including neurodiverse players—can grow and connect.
Community events: local meets, demo days and collaborative projects with schools and clubs.
Resources and support: guidance for new players, equipment advice and links to international events.
Online Community: a safe, moderated Discord space where players connect, share trick videos, and support each other daily. (see link in the page footer)

Events and programmes

Our calendar includes regular local meets, an annual national championship and special events for schools and youth groups. Events are open to members and non-members where stated. We publish schedules and registration details on our website and social channels, and we provide clear information about categories, rules and judging criteria for competitive events.
